Services Provided for Telecommunications Relay
Voice Carry Over (VCO)
VCO is for people who have difficulty hearing clearly through the telephone and prefer to speak for themselves in a phone conversation. This is especially appealing to seniors because of its ease of use. Click here for more info.
2-Line Voice Carry Over (2-Line VCO)
2-Line VCO calls are for designed for people who do not hear but want the independence of speaking for themselves, while having more control over their calls then allowed view traditional relay. Click here for more info.
7-1-1
All Wyoming Relay calling services, except 900 Pay-Per-Call, will be accessible simply by dialing 7-1-1.
900 PAY-PER-CALL Service Access
Deaf, hard-of-hearing, deaf-blind, and speech-disabled callers may access 900 Pay-Per-Call services using Wyoming Relay by dialing 1-900-463-3323.
Speech-to-Speech (STS)
Specially trained CAs help persons with speech disabilities voice their conversations. They repeat the words of persons with speech disabilities or persons who use a synthesizer to the other party. Special equipment is not necessary. Click here for more info.
Hearing Carry Over
HCO allows speech-disabled users who can hear to listen to the person they are calling. The HCO user types her/his conversation for the CA to read to the standard telephone user. Click here for more info.
Directory Assistance
Wyoming Relay CAs provide access to national directory assistance. Directory assistance may be subject to charges.
Spanish-Language Services
TTY users can type in Spanish and the conversations will be relayed in Spanish or translated to English by using Wyoming Relay by dialing 1-800-829-2783.
Answering Machine Retrieval (AMR)
TTY users can request CAs to retrieve messages from their answering machines or voice mail. If needed, the caller gives the CA the password, places the handset next to the speaker of the answering machine or voice mail until all messages are retrieved, and places the handset back on the TTY. Then the CA types the messages to the person using the TTY machine.
