Cody Workforce Center to Host Open House

CODY – The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services' Cody Workforce Center will be hosting an Open House Wednesday, August 4th from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at 1026 Blackburn Street, #1. The Open House is intended to welcome job seekers, businesses and members of the Cody community to learn more about the free services available to businesses and job seekers. Refreshments will be provided and door prizes will be given to a few lucky winners.

Joan Evans, Director of the Department of Workforce Services, is excited about the Open House. "Partnering with the Chamber of Commerce for our Cody open house is a great opportunity to highlight the business services that are offered through the Department of Workforce Services," Evans said. "As well as give job seekers a chance to come in and see the services that we offer and get assistance with the job search."

Following the Open House, the Cody Chamber of Commerce will be reviving their Business After Hours and will be available from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. to meet attendees and discuss community issues and would like the business community to be aware of the Department of Workforce Services' Cody Workforce Center free services.

Diane DiJenno, Worland Workforce Center Manager, shares Evan's excitement about the event. "It's always nice to treat, to invite people, basically the public here in our community Park County to the Workforce Center to learn about our services," DiJenno said. "Often times our clients come to us in very stressful situations and this will be a great night for them to come, relax, enjoy and also to meet with the Cody Chamber."
