Department of Workforce Services Employee Wins 2010 Outstanding Staff Member of the Year
DOUGLAS - It is with great pleasure that the Department of Workforce Services announces Douglas Workforce Center Employment Specialist, Linda Alley has been awarded the Meeting the Challenge-2010 Outstanding Staff Member of the Year by the Wyoming Associations for Persons in Community Employment.
Alley was honored with a plaque and letter from Senator John Barrasso in May in Laramie. She was commended for the extensive work she has put in fusing a business relationship with the Agency's Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and the Memorial Hospital of Converse County on a WIA participant. The participant is currently employed with Memorial Hospital of Converse County.
Joan Evans, Director of Department of Workforce Services, praised Alley. "I am very excited that Linda has been recognized for her efforts here at the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services," Evans said. "Linda does a great job as a public servant and is very dedicated to her job each and everyday for our jobseekers and her community."
Guy Hadley, Alley's supervisor spoke highly of her contributions to the agency. "Linda has been a tremendous asset to the agency she has done a great job in illustrating how successful partnerships can be," Hadley said. "She did a partnership between Voc Rehabilitation, the Workforce Center and Memorial Hospital of Converse County and that partnership has just really resulted in the client being helped and I'm very proud of Linda and the work she has done for the community of Douglas ."
Alley is humbled by the honor expressing that she feels almost guilty for winning the award because everyone in her office works just as hard as her. Linda has said the award "Makes me feel honored and humbled to receive recognition for working in a team effort to serve our clients." These are partnerships that we as Workforce Employees build everyday across the state and use to achieve successful and rewarding outcomes."
