In Conrad's appointment letter, Governor Freudenthal said it is an honor to have talented and motivated leaders as his colleagues and it is his pleasure to welcome Mr. Conrad to the position.

As Chairman, Conrad will guide the Council in establishing Wyoming's role in workforce development. The Wyoming Workforce Development Council serves as the advisory board for the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services.

Joan Evans, Director of the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, said, "The Wyoming Workforce Development Council is an integral part of the Agency that is established by the Workforce Investment Act (federal legislation, administered by the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, that provides funding to match eligible job seekers to businesses looking for workers)."

In addition, the Council has sponsored the Governors Summit on Workforce Solutions for the past five years and is gearing up to host the sixth Summit this coming June.
