DWS to hold Employer Information Seminar in Riverton

RIVERTON – The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services (DWS) will host an Employer Information Seminar in Riverton on Thursday, June 28, at Central Wyoming College (2660 Peck Ave.).

The seminar will focus on workforce training programs, OSHA consultation, unemployment insurance taxes, claims and appeals, workers' compensation requirements, labor standards, risk management, labor market information and more.

“Employer Information Seminars are a great resource for all employers -- those who are just starting out, and for those who have been in business for many years,” said Director of the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services Joan Evans. “The seminar will provide valuable information on important law updates, how to better navigate regulatory obligations and ways to improve working conditions for your employees. DWS looks forward to connecting with Riverton businesses and providing them with helpful tools they can use to benefit their employees and their business operations.”

The cost to attend is $19, which covers lunch and breaks. Deadline for registration is noon on Monday, June 25. Seminars begin at 7:55 a.m. and end at approximately 4:50 p.m.
