JobAssistis a voluntary program designed to assist families in achieving the education and skills needed to find and keep gainful employment. JobAssist staff work with families to:
- Support families in becoming self sufficient
- Set career and life goals
- Support the development of an education and employment action plan
- Identify and coordinate state and community services tailored to each family
- Enhance employability
JobAssist is designed to assist families in achieving the education and skills needed to become gainfully employed. Participants learn to work with providers to build resources that are efficient, effective, and work for their families individualized needs. Families are then able to move up the Job Ladder toward self-sufficiency.
JobAssist is a guide families can use in learning how to make good decisions, set goals and take action. As experience in getting effective results is gained, families will become empowered and self-sufficient.
