State Rehabilitation Council
Mission Statement
The Wyoming State Rehabilitation Council's (SRC) mission is to review, analyze and advise the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation in the delivery of effective rehabilitation services which lead to employment for individuals with disabilities and in partnership with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, advance the use of resources necessary to promote the independence of Wyoming's citizens with disabilities.
Members are appointed by the Governor and serve at his pleasure. The membership reflects representation from persons with disabilities and disability advocacy groups, current and former applicants of Vocational Rehabilitation services, business and industry, education, and community rehabilitation programs. The majority of members of the State Rehabilitation Council are volunteers who donate their time to fulfill the mission of the SRC.
SRC Committees
- Executive Committee: Made up of the officers of the council, the past SRC Chairperson and the Administrator, ex-officio.
Responsibilities:
• Annual report preparation
• Membership and SRC oversight - Review Committee: Purpose is to review VR policies and procedures, State Plan, Customer Satisfaction Surveys, performance indicators and Bylaws of the Council.
- Communications Committee: Purpose will be to (1) coordinate and communicate with other councils and human service entities as required by the Rehabilitation Act, (2) perform/coordinate public relations, and (3) maintain the Employer Recognition Program.
